About This Visa
Indian ordinary-passport holders need a Schengen C. India is on the EU visa-required list. Usual staff path since 1 November 2025: VFS at https://visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/bgr. The Embassy in New Delhi still decides. Do not use e-visa.mfa.bg for this — that portal is not the India filing path and the URL fails.
From 31 March 2024 Bulgaria issues uniform Schengen visas. Stay up to 90 days in 180, starting when they first enter Schengen. File in person or through VFS. MFA visa page: not earlier than 3 months before travel. VFS India: leave 21 working days between filing and the arrival date on the form.
