About This Visa
Indian ordinary-passport holders need a Schengen C. Usual staff path: GVCW (Global Visa Center World), the Embassy’s external provider — https://in-gr.gvcworld.eu — then the Embassy Consular Office in New Delhi decides. Helpline +91 22 6786 6011 · info.ingr@gvc24assist.eu. New Delhi VAC: Shivaji Stadium Metro, concourse, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Connaught Place. Do not use visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/grc — it does not load. Visa Code Art. 17(5): they may also lodge at the Consular Office; GVCW is the staff default.
Honorary consuls in Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata are not visa counters. Pay visa and service fees in INR at GVCW.
Documents Required
Embassy of Greece New Delhi notice (2026 on GVCW) + GVCW tourism
- Signed Schengen form. Separate A4 pack per person. Two ICAO colour photos, white background, under 6 months
- Passport: 3 months after the visa end date, 2 blank pages, issued within 10 years. Copies of first/last pages and all visas/stamps. Previous passport if they have one
- Cover letter. Tourism: agency booking certificate or other travel-plan document. Return/round flight reservation; several Schengen stops: intra-Schengen transport
- Hotel, holiday home, or campus in each Schengen country. Host stay: sponsorship / private accommodation as that state asks
- Original 3 months stamped and signed bank statements. ITR acknowledgements last 2 assessment years (attested). Employed: 3 months payslips, contract, leave letter. Self-employed: company registration. Sponsored: sponsor’s financial set on each file. Retired: 3 months pension and/or property income
- Spouse: name on both passports, or original marriage certificate apostilled by MEA, or an affidavit. Engaged: affidavit
- Insurance min. EUR 30,000, whole Schengen, whole stay. Embassy 2026 notice: Indian policies only from the approved Schengen India list (since 01/10/2013). GVCW also sells INSURTE — do not treat that as a substitute for the Embassy list
- Minor: notarised consent as on the notice; parent passport copies; school ID if a student. GVCW: everyone attends in person; Visa Code still exempts under-12 from fingerprints
