About This Visa
Indian ordinary-passport holders are on the Kiribati Tourism exemption list (Asia: India). They do not need a Kiribati travel visa or transit visa for a visit within the 90 days / 12 months cap, if the officer admits them.
MFAI: visa rules sit under the Immigration Act 2019. Visa questions: visaofficer@mfa.gov.ki. This tourist path is not a work or filming permit.
Research or filming needs a separate permit before travel (president.gov.ki resources). Drones need CAAK approval.
Documents Required
Kiribati Tourism — exemption
- Valid passport with at least 6 months left on the day of departure from Kiribati
Carry return/onward tickets and proof they can support the stay. MFAI visitor-visa form (for people who are not exempt) also asks photos, funds or a sponsor, and medical/police if required — use that only if visaofficer@mfa.gov.ki says they are not exempt.
