About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders need a Schengen C. Usual staff path: VFS Global in India, then the Embassy in New Delhi or the Consulate General in Mumbai by district. Holiday C is not e-Konsulat — that portal is for national work and study D. Do not use visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/pol — it does not load. Fill the VFS e-form at https://eforms.vfsglobal.com/pol/en/login at most 5 days before the slot. Sign twice, matching the passport. The consul decides. Travel agents get no preference.

Documents Required

Embassy/CG tourism–visit checklist (18 Feb 2026)

Passport: issued within 10 years, 3 months after leaving Schengen, 2 blank pages. Form with no blanks, signed twice. Two colour photos, white background, 35 × 45 mm, under 6 months. Printed checklist. Cover letter
Tourism: agency booking or other travel-plan paper. Visit: invitation with address, dates, host legal stay, lodging proof, and family ties (MEA-apostilled civil docs — not affidavits). Flight reservation only; several Schengen stops: intra-Schengen transport
Insurance from the approved Schengen India TMI list (March 2026 on the C-type page). Min. EUR 30,000, whole Schengen, whole stay. Original; no handwritten certificates
Hotel in Poland and every other Schengen stop. Original 3 months stamped bank. ITR last 2 assessment years. Employed: 3 months payslips, contract, leave letter. Self-employed: GST registration. Retired: 3 months pension and/or property. Residence proof for this district. Passport biodata copies

How to apply

Book VFS for the right district. New Delhi slots: each Wednesday at 11:00. Mumbai: last working day of the month, two months ahead. Lodge 6 months ahead (9 months seafarers), as a rule not later than 15 calendar days. The tourism checklist also says a file under 45 days before travel is on the applicant’s own risk — keep both.
VFS e-form at most 5 days before the slot. Appear in person. Do not use visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/pol — it does not load.
Appeal a refusal within 14 days at the same VAC; new visa fee (embassy table INR 9,504).

New Delhi Embassy district: Delhi NCR, Haryana, HP, Punjab, Rajasthan, UP, Uttarakhand, MP, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, North-East states named on the C-type page, J&K and Ladakh — plus Afghanistan and Bhutan residents.
Mumbai CG district: Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, A&N.
National D work/study: e-Konsulat, not this C.
