About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders can take visa on arrival in Rwanda. DGIE: from 1 Jan 2018, citizens of all countries may get a visa upon arrival without prior application. AU / Commonwealth / La Francophonie nationals (including India) are waived visa fees for a 30-day visit.

Issued at Kigali International Airport and all land borders. India is not on the separate 90-day free list.

About This Visa

DGIE V1 — Holiday purposes: for foreigners visiting Rwanda for holiday, sightseeing, social or recreational reasons (not work). Issued on arrival, online, at Immigration, or at a Rwandan diplomatic mission.

Fees: USD 50 single (free for AU / Commonwealth / La Francophonie, including India); USD 70 multiple. Validity: 30 days single or 90 days multiple.

How to apply

  1. VOA: land at Kigali airport or a land border and take the visa at Immigration.
  2. Visitor visa V1: on arrival, online, at Immigration, or High Commission New Delhi — as DGIE directs.
  3. Carry passport (6+ months).

Who can apply

  • Indian ordinary passports: visa on arrival for a 30-day visit (fee waived), or Visitor visa V1 Holiday for single/multiple products as issued.
