About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders need a visa. Holiday path on the Immigration e-Visa portal: Ordinary (tourist / visit) at USD 50 per Immigration guidelines. Tourism, visiting friends/relatives, meetings, workshops — no work or business.

Portal: https://visa.immigration.go.tz (via https://www.immigration.go.tz e-services). Prefer online before relying on arrival.

Documents Required

  • Passport bio-data page — at least 6 months’ validity and one unused visa page
  • Return ticket
  • Online application and declaration form
  • USD 50 Ordinary fee (or USD 100 if filing Multiple on the portal)

Minimum 5 working days for regular process (HC New Delhi).

Stay period

Up to 90 days per stay.

Multiple entry for one year; max 90 days at a time (HC New Delhi fee table for Indian citizens).

About This Visa

When filing at the High Commission in New Delhi, the mission fee table for Indian citizens is USD 100 multiple (one year, 90 days at a time) for Ordinary/Tourist. That table is separate from the Immigration e-Visa Ordinary USD 50 rate.

Pay by cheque or money order to Embassy of Tanzania in India — no cash. Fee non-refundable.

HC New Delhi — Ordinary/Tourist (Indians)

  • Two recent passport-size photos
  • Flight itinerary
  • Passport valid six months
  • Application form filled and signed by the applicant
  • USD 100 fee

Processing time

Issued at an official entry point if they qualify. e-Visa or HC file is still preferred.

As granted — up to 90 days for Ordinary.

About This Visa

Immigration lists India among nationalities eligible for visa on arrival. Prefer e-Visa or New Delhi HC so they board with approval in hand. Do not treat VOA as visa-free.

  2. HC New Delhi: walk-in drop-off Mon–Fri 09:00–13:00; Indian tourist fee USD 100 multiple; pay by cheque/money order — no cash.
  3. Track e-Visa online; HC pick-up Mon–Thu 15:00–17:00, Fri 12:00–14:00.
