About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders normally need a Peruvian tourist visa. Under Supreme Decree Nº 006-2017-RE (mirrored on gob.pe), they are exempt from the temporary tourist (and business) visa if they hold a visa with at least six months’ validity from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia or a Schengen state — or permanent residence in one of those places.

Maximum stay under the exemption: 180 days in one continuous visit or consecutive visits within one year. Present the passport and the qualifying visa / PR card to Migraciones.

  • Qualifying US / Canada / UK / Australia / Schengen visa (≥6 months left) or permanent residence card

About This Visa

Without a qualifying US / Canada / UK / Australia / Schengen visa or PR, Indian ordinary-passport holders need a tourist visa from the Embassy of Peru in New Delhi (D-2/5 Vasant Vihar). Honorary consulates in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore or Chennai do not issue this visa.

Submit a complete paper file in person, attend the interview when scheduled, and pay INR 3000 in cash. Approval is discretionary. Migraciones still sets the stay stamped on arrival (up to 183 calendar days under the tourist category on gob.pe).

Documents Required

Tourist visa — New Delhi

  • Passport (≥6 months) + photocopy of data pages
  • Two DGC 005 visa forms — typed or block letters; email and phone in the applicant’s own name
  • Three recent colour photos (about 4.3 × 3.5 cm, white background)
  • Signed cover letter; if employed, employer NOC with joining date and trip purpose / dates
  • Round-trip flight itinerary and day-by-day activity plan
  • Hotel reservation(s)
  • Proof of financial solvency (bank statements / FDs; Form 16 may help) — even if the trip is sponsored

Standalone emails / courier packets do not start the process — only a complete file lodged at the Embassy does. Confirm any extras the Consular Section names when acknowledging the file.
