Indian ordinary-passport holders can apply for this e-Visa. They need a visa; they are not visa-free. This is the usual staff path. Iraqi missions (London, Manila, Washington, Frankfurt) send foreigners to https://evisa.iq — you do not need an Embassy visit for this product.

Apply only on https://evisa.iq (form at https://eservice.evisa.iq/). Ministry of Interior / Residency Affairs. Valid 30 days. Single or multiple entry. The visa arrives by email. Print it and show it at border control, on the same passport.

evisa.iq does not publish a fee table. Charge only the official checkout. Do not use lookalike agency sites.

• Valid passport (Delhi Embassy: minimum 6 months for a visa request)
• Digital photograph, white background (evisa.iq)
• Email address to receive the visa
• Proof of accommodation (Frankfurt consulate). Manila and Washington also list proof of residence / residency

If the stay is more than 15 days, the Frankfurt consulate also asks the traveller to register on the Ministry of Health entry-screening platform before travel: https://eservice.ur.gov.iq/index/new-service/10407.

Indian ordinary-passport holders can apply at the Embassy in New Delhi if they are not using the e-Visa. They need a visa; they are not visa-free.

Tourist: sightseeing and relic sites; enter once within 3 months; stay one month. Visit: religious events or holy sites; enter once within one month; stay one month. Tourist groups must go through a tourism company in the mission’s area, working with a licensed Iraqi tourism company. Prefer the e-Visa unless the Embassy asks for a sticker file.

Fees on the Delhi page follow Consular Department letter 12 July 2010. Charge what the Embassy quotes on the day.

• Passport valid at least 6 months
• Visa application form (Form No. 1) and two photographs. Missions are told to type the form and the sticker. Fill all fields in Arabic, especially the Iraq address (block / alley / house / landmark) and a phone number
• Proof they can cover living costs (ordinary passports)
• Convincing reason for the visit, and the full address of the stay in Iraq
• Children under 15: health certificate showing a full polio course (at least 5 oral doses)

Embassy sticker for a longer stay than the one-month tourist / visit visa. Same Delhi file as Visit / Tourism. Enter once within three months. Stay up to three months. They must report to the Directorate of Residence within ten days of arrival.

An expired visa is not extended. They apply again and pay again, except a short border exception (not more than seven days) if the border was closed.

• Work in Iraq also needs a Ministry of Labour work permit, unless they fall under the official exceptions (diplomatic / IO staff, treaty staff, government contract, or shrine reconstruction)

Use only when Iraq is a stop on the way to another country. Stay not more than seven days. Non-stop transit is a separate type: they pass through under the competent authorities and do not stop, once within three months.

Ordinary Indian passports still need a visa. There is no India–Iraq visa-free agreement on the MEA exemption tables.

Separate from the federal e-Visa. Official portal: https://visit.gov.krd. Use it only when the trip stays in the Kurdistan Region (Erbil / Duhok / Sulaymaniyah entry). It does not replace a federal e-Visa for Baghdad, Najaf, Karbala or other federal ports.

Official conflict on India: the KRG government service page (xizmet / services.gov.krd) lists India on List B — a guarantor in the Region must support the file, give a verification code, and pay. The KRG representation in the United States says India is on a “do not apply” list and they cannot issue a visa. Follow visit.gov.krd / the Eligibility Checker on the day. Do not promise a KRG visa from India without a guarantor and a portal check.
