About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders need a visa. They are not visa-free. Apply on the official eVisa-B2 at https://israel-entry.piba.gov.il/learn-about-evisa-b2/. Do not file ETA-IL.

This visa is for visit, tourism, medical tourism, business, or short non-academic study. No work. They send the visa by email. Print it, travel on the same passport, and show it at the border. The officer can still refuse entry.

The handling fee is 105 NIS and is not refunded. Some files are called to New Delhi, Mumbai or Bengaluru. Prefer the e-Visa unless they are asked to appear.

Documents Required

Official eVisa-B2 page — https://israel-entry.piba.gov.il/learn-about-evisa-b2/

  • Citizen of a visa-required country (India is)
  • Photocopy of a travel document valid for the visa period and at least until they leave Israel
  • Recent passport photo, white background
  • Return / round-trip ticket
  • Health insurance valid in Israel for the whole stay
  • Place of stay: hotel or Airbnb confirmation, or a signed host letter with full address, phone and ID number
  • Proof of funds — at least one: last 3 months’ bank statements, a bank letter, or other proof of enough money

Also useful: a photocopy of other visas in the passport. Extra papers only if they apply — conference invite, PIBA approval already processed in Israel, note verbale, sports invite, or an employer work permit.

ETA-IL (not for India)

ETA-IL is only for visa-exempt passports. From 1 January 2025 they must have it before the flight. Stay is up to 90 days. Indian ordinary passports are not in that scheme. Do not file ETA-IL for them.
