Processing time

Apply at least 3 working days before travel. Embassy: applications are considered in 2 working days, not counting the filing day.

Stay period

Up to 30 days (single stay). If less than 30 days remain on the e-Visa at entry, stay cannot exceed the remaining validity.

About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders need a visa. They are not on the Embassy’s 30-day visa-free list. Usual staff path: tourist e-Visa at https://e-visa.gov.uz. India is on the Embassy e-Visa country list. Do not send them to the Embassy counter for a tourist e-Visa.

Pay USD 20 online (Visa or Mastercard). Not refunded if refused. Apply at least 3 working days before travel. Decision in 2 working days, not counting the filing day. Valid 90 days from issue; stay up to 30 days. Print it or keep it on the phone — it is not put in the passport. Check status on the same site.

Processing time

No visa to apply if they qualify at the airport.

About This Visa

Embassy New Delhi: India is on the 5-day visa-free transit list at Uzbekistan’s international airports. They need an air ticket to the next country, with that flight within 5 days of arrival. The carrier must inform the border. This is transit, not a holiday. For a tour, use the e-Visa.

About This Visa

Use this only if they cannot use the e-Visa. Embassy New Delhi: tourist 30 days USD 40 plus USD 15 actual charge. Pay to the Embassy consular account in the applicant’s passport name (Kotak Mahindra, INR 9612602794 or USD 9612602800). Different-name payments are refused.

How to apply

  1. Open https://e-visa.gov.uz. Country, passport type, purpose, dates. Upload photo and passport page. Pay USD 20. Print the email visa.
  2. Do not use unofficial “Uzbekistan visa” sites.
  3. Sticker only if e-Visa is not the path: form on evisa.mfa.uz, Consular Section, pay into the Embassy account in the traveller’s name.

Who can apply

  • Indian ordinary-passport holders need a visa for a holiday. Not visa-free for 30 days.
  • Usual staff path: e-visa.gov.uz, USD 20, at least 3 working days before travel.
  • 5-day airport transit only with an onward flight within 5 days.
  • Children under 16: visa-free if they travel with a legal guardian, for the guardian’s visa stay, not more than 90 days (Embassy New Delhi).
